what is the main difference between dynamic and static web pages?
Static page displays the required information to the observer, but don’t accept any information from the observer where Dynamic page displays the information to the observer and also accepts the information from the user online shopping, Railway reservation is case of dynamic page.

Another difference is a static page is just html and usually ends with a .htm tag.
Dynamic content can be changed on the fly as the page is built for the user and is usually accomplished using .php or .asp.
Dynamic pages can take content from a database, customize it and use it to build a webpage.
Wordpress website pages are a good example of dynamic pages.
This page is also because the content is stored in a database, not in the .php file showthread.php.
Yeah one major difference could have been easily traced which is their extensions. In dynamic .php and .asp extensions could have been seen and in static the main difference is that those aren't much iser friendly and some of the API's and other extensions don't work fine and with static site you can't have good results if you are using that site at mobile or any of the Android devices.
A static page simple does not change once it has been downloaded (from the "server") to the surfer's machine ("client"). Once you click or fill a form, the client sends a request to the server, and the server downloads ANOTHER page, completely replacing the previous page.
A dynamic page is a page CAPABLE of changing its contents on the surfer's machine WITHOUT re-downloading the whole page. The server first downloads the page. For each client's click (or input), a request is sent (behind the screen) to the server, and the server responds with a PARTIAL page, and the screen is updated: the page has NOT been "replaced", but updated.
All forms of AJAX based pages are Dynamic.
static Web pages are those with content that cannot change without a developer editing its source code, while dynamic Web pages can display different content from the same source code. When it comes to using static or dynamic pages for parts of your company's website, having the most advanced code on each of your pages is not important.
Static web pages have fixed content while dynamic web pages may have changing content.
• Static web pages have to be manually changed, while changes to a dynamic page can be loaded through an application where resources are stored in a database.
• Static web pages use only a web server, while dynamic web pages use a web server, application server, and a database.
its very informative post thanks for sharing with us.
In my definition, dynamic web pages are pages that produce changes in content while static pages are pages that stay the same and rarely produce changes. It's important to frequently update the content and dates on your pages to attract returning visitors and search engines. Blogger lets you use a dynamic page view template.
